Beia’s Families provides comprehensive services that assist families and individuals in achieving self-sufficiency and permanency. We are lasered-focused on promoting positive and healthy decision- making skills, coordinate care, access resources, and provide mentorship and case management. Using evidence-based practices and parenting curriculums such as the Family Centered Approach and Protective Factors Framework, we assist families and individuals with identifying and assessing needs, problem solving, minimizing risks, behavior modification tools, life skills, parent education, safety measures, and community supports and social services.

One of the specialized programs provided by Beia’s Families is our Transitional Age Youth (TAY) Program. Our TAY program is designed to help youth successfully transition out of foster or congregate care and establish routines that promote self-sufficiency and self-reliance.
We focus on the Person-Centered Approach to assist the individual with self-development skills and address their emotional, physical, and behavioral needs. Our case management services help with problem solving, positive decision making, de-escalation and self-regulation, identifying housing, medical, and social service needs.
Our program participants are paired with mentors who establish trusting relationships and assist the youth while modeling positive behaviors, promoting and establishing healthy relationships, community building and self-care.
We provide DBT group therapy for clients in need of developing tolerance for stress and emotional regulation. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups are an evidence-based practice which includes social skills development and coping skills for teens. DBT helps to maintain balance with emotions, mood, and relationships and regards mindfulness practices.

Our independent life skills sessions are provided individually and within a group. The sessions can be tailored for youth, teens, or adults. Topics include, but not limited to resiliency, anger management, understanding adolescence, housekeeping and budgeting, health and safety tips, diversity/culture/implicit bias, healthy relationships, problem solving/conflict resolution, understanding rules and laws, job skills readiness programs and training and career development skills, and financial literacy.
